  • Devote 30 minutes a day to moderate-intensity aerobic exercise (e.g. walking, cycling, and backstroke or breaststroke swimming). Alternatively, you may do 20 minutes of high-intensity aerobic exercise (e.g. running or freestyle swimming) 3 days a week.

  • Practice strength training (e.g. lifting small weights, using gym equipment, or light intensity bodyweight exercises) 2 times a week on non-consecutive days.

  • It is very important to avoid a sedentary lifestyle. You can start with simple measures like taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or parking the car a considerable distance from your destination so that you can work in some extra steps.
