In the past 2 years, many of our habits have changed.

Taking care of your body is an important act of self-love, not only for the psychological benefits involved, but also to feel healthy and fit.

Very often we get caught up in our daily routines and do not dedicate much time to our health, leading us buy low-cost products that promise a lot, but do little.

If we really want to CHANGE, the first step is to dedicate more time to ourselves and above all do it with care and attention. For this reason, we recommend reading our article on Slow Living (insert Backlink), a lifestyle focused on re-balancing natural rhythms of one's body.

Taking care of yourself in a different way

From a Slow Life perspective, we can (or rather, we must) devote more time to ourselves and here you can find some tips to do so: numerous studies have found that spices not only have powerful health benefits, but also to make our bodies and skin more toned!

Here is a list of 5 spices we recommend:

Many people don’t know that this particular spice is often called "Indian saffron" and has excellent anti-aging properties. It is often combined with black pepper, to effectively fight free radicals (the main cause of skin aging). In addition to having excellent antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, it can be used as an "anti-aging" face mask: just add black pepper and a few tablespoons of white yogurt and you're done!

Often used for its delicious scent, this spice can be left to infuse in hot water to make an excellent relaxing herbal tea. But the real secret is to have a warm bath with honey and vanilla! Add a few vanilla pods and tablespoons of honey to your hot bath and it will leave your skin extremely fragrant.

Ginger, a part from its delicious taste, helps our body to reduce the levels of "bad cholesterol" (also called LDL) present in the blood, also strengthening our cardiovascular system. A great way to apply ginger is to make a facial cream: take some honey or yogurt and grate some ginger on top. Apply and leave for 15 minutes and it will reinvigorate your skin, tone and prevent the appearance of wrinkles.

Cinnamon is great for preventing flu and bronchitis and for lowering blood sugar. It is also used as an anti-inflammatory and to contrast oxidative stress (when cellular tissues become visually fatiguing because they are subjected to an excessive amount of oxidizing agents).

The secret is to use cinnamon to make a foot bath!

Take cinnamon sticks and leave them to soak in cold water for one or two days. Then pour the infusion into a basin of hot water in which you can immerse your feet and soak them for about 30 minutes. Cinnamon will make your legs feel lighter and more relaxed.

Although many people do not like the taste, nutmeg is renowned for its healthy effects: it helps detoxify the kidneys and liver, as it allows to quickly dispose of toxins; it also reduces blood pressure, being rich in potassium, and helps the well-being of the cardiovascular system.

An effective way to use it is to prepare a scrub to be applied to the contour of the nose and chin, in particular to contrast blackheads. To create this cream, just add two spoons of nutmeg and two of milk and mix everything.

Before applying it, remember to wash your face well, so that you can effectively apply the cream immediately afterwards.
