HOW TO GET STRONG AND HEALTHY HAIR

Aggiornamento: 28 gen 2022

TAKE CARE OF YOUR HAIR

First of all, in order to take care of your hair and keep it healthy and strong, you must remember that, like every part of our body, it is affected by stress and bad habits. It is also sensitive to temperatures and, for this reason, it is essential to use some precautions for hair care.

To Keep in Mind:

Not-too-frequent washing, together with the use of appropriate shampoos (based on the type of skin and hair) and suitable hairdryers/ hair straighteners (according to the frequency of use) can help maintain your hair healthy.

There are also many practices that not only come from tradition but also have a scientific value. Among these we would like to mention the use of compresses based on:

  • Castor oil, which has anti-inflammatory together with antibacterial properties and makes the hair stronger and more resistant;

  • Olive oil, which makes the hair more full-bodied and less dry;

  • Rosemary oil, which strengthens and improves hair growth by stimulating microcirculation;

  • Millet Cereal, which is rich in vitamins and minerals, decreases hair loss and increases the formation of keratin;

  • Polyphenols extracted from grape seeds or green tea (antioxidants), which increase microcirculation and hair growth;

  • Ayurvedic herb of cassia (neutral henna), which has restructuring properties and increases the diameter of the stem.

FROM NATURAL SHEDDING TO BALDNESS

Hair loss is a normal and common condition for everyone, characterized by seasonality. For this reason, don't worry if you notice more hair than usual in the sink during this time of the year!

In fact, our body has a natural shedding cycle that goes from 40 to 120 hairs per day. In addition, a greater loss is not synonymous with Alopecia (baldness), which instead is a clinical condition to be investigated. During the change of season (particularly in autumn), hair loss can intensify, but it is still part of the natural physiological shedding that should return to normal within a few weeks.

However, if the hair does not return to its usual state after a few weeks and, instead, you see a progressive thinning, it is advisable to go to a dermatologist for tests as a pathological mechanism could have been triggered. The most frequent is the aforementioned Alopecia.

Alopecia (androgenetic or areata) is a multifactorial pathology. In this condition, various aspects play a key role:

  • A genetic predisposition;

  • The immune system;

  • Nutrition;

  • The lifestyle;

  • Both physical and psychological stress;

  • Age (in particular, menopause and andropause);

  • Some medicines (chemotherapy, anticonvulsants, heparin etc.).

Therefore, the medical team of Palazzo Fiuggi becomes central in helping people to reset completely through: the strengthening of the immune system , a healthy nutrition, but also medical programs created to find one's target weight , together with personalized sporting programs based on one's characteristics and abilities.

A complete functional reset can give you both a baseline to eventually start specific treatments for baldness and also the chance of being already part of the cure.
